| dc.description.abstract (摘要) | This paper aims to point out the various organization types of reference service, and analyze and compare the spirit of the reference service departments of some full-fledged national libraries in the world. Moreover, it gives an account of the workload allocation to the reference service librarians by the said organization. Since the good quality of the reference service librarians is an important factor leading to the efficient promotion of the reference service functions, the paper also discusses the characteristics and requirements on the part of reference service librarians and explains ways to offer special training to them and encourage them to absorb update knowhow so as to increase their knowledge and skills in their work. | |
