| dc.description.abstract (摘要) | This paper examines the role libraries play in the light of the major educational reform efforts in the United States. It is suggested that a successful education reform should not limit itself to reforming the school system. It should go beyond the school system to inc1ude community institutions. The paper argues that libraries should be incorporated in the overall reform package based on the assumption that the learning environment is conducive to effective learning and that libraries are an integral part of community learning. | |
