dc.description.abstract (摘要) | Since Narendra Modi took oath as the Prime Minister of India on 26th May 2014, he immediately launched the "Make in India" initiative as the vital strategy to stimulate the economy. The Modi government has actively promoted the campaign which provides new opportunities for and attracts attention from foreign investors. Taiwanese company Foxconn Technology Group who withdrew investment from India in 2015 returns to the Indian market again and has even expanded its investment scale. Foxconn is among Taiwan`s top 10 companies, thus its investment in India would have a significant implications for the current Tsai Ing-wen government which actively promotes the New Southbound Policy of 18 targeted countries including India. The success or failure of Foxconn might also affect Taiwanese companies` willingness for investing in India and therefore it is worth observing and studying. | |
