摘要 美中關係是二十一世紀最複雜也最重要的雙邊關係，兩國如何定義對方在國際社會的地位、相互的認知，與彼此的互動，將會決定世界的和平與未來。東北亞是國際關係中的一個熱點地區，重要性不斷攀升；而朝鮮半島問題是東北亞區域中急需處理的問題之一，尤其因為習近平、金正恩、川普接連上任，不穩定的政治局勢，更一度讓朝核危機瀕臨爆發邊緣。
本文透過三層次分析，從體系結構、國家層次與領導人層次，分析朝鮮半島核開發對美中關係的影響。既存霸權的美國與崛起強權的中國，一方面彼此視對方為權力競爭者；另一方面卻又因為全球互賴促進雙邊合作，進而形成既合作又矛盾的交往形勢。其次，美、中兩國的意識形態、政府決策過程、國內其他因素，到領導者個人的背景和外交理念，也是型塑各自外交政策重要環節。在朝核問題範疇中，美中展現了更多的合作，偶有矛盾。雖然朝核問題尚未解決，但川普、習近平、金正恩的直接對話，為朝核危機揭開新的帷幕。美、中間可以有危機、有衝突、有矛盾，但不會走向對抗甚至開戰；若美、中能通過合作解決朝核問題，並進一步建立雙邊對話、管控分歧機制，有助於美中走向成熟的大國交往。
No relationship will be as important to the twenty-first century as the one between the United States, the only great power around the world, and China, the rising power. Northeast Asia, as argued, is among the most dangerous places on earth with growing importance in international relations. The“North Korean nuclear crisis” is one of the hotspots in Northeast Asia, and tensions rise due to uncertain and unstable political situations especially when the leaders and governments of responsible stakeholders such as the US, China, and North and South Korea experienced alterations during 2012-2017.
In this essay, the author uses the “three levels of analysis” approach to discuss the influences as well as developments of the North Korean nuclear crisis in US-China relations. The US and China see each other as strategic competitors. However, since the boom of globalization, the US and China have become more inter-dependent in the fields of trade, economy, and foreign affairs. When it comes to the North Korean nuclear crisis, cooperation between the US and China is critical to reach resolutions, though there exist some contradictions. It is important for the US and China to establish mutually beneficial great powers relations through bilateral communication and divergences-control management.

dc.description.abstract (摘要) 美中關係是二十一世紀最複雜也最重要的雙邊關係，兩國如何定義對方在國際社會的地位、相互的認知，與彼此的互動，將會決定世界的和平與未來。東北亞是國際關係中的一個熱點地區，重要性不斷攀升；而朝鮮半島問題是東北亞區域中急需處理的問題之一，尤其因為習近平、金正恩、川普接連上任，不穩定的政治局勢，更一度讓朝核危機瀕臨爆發邊緣。
本文透過三層次分析，從體系結構、國家層次與領導人層次，分析朝鮮半島核開發對美中關係的影響。既存霸權的美國與崛起強權的中國，一方面彼此視對方為權力競爭者；另一方面卻又因為全球互賴促進雙邊合作，進而形成既合作又矛盾的交往形勢。其次，美、中兩國的意識形態、政府決策過程、國內其他因素，到領導者個人的背景和外交理念，也是型塑各自外交政策重要環節。在朝核問題範疇中，美中展現了更多的合作，偶有矛盾。雖然朝核問題尚未解決，但川普、習近平、金正恩的直接對話，為朝核危機揭開新的帷幕。美、中間可以有危機、有衝突、有矛盾，但不會走向對抗甚至開戰；若美、中能通過合作解決朝核問題，並進一步建立雙邊對話、管控分歧機制，有助於美中走向成熟的大國交往。		zh_TW
dc.description.abstract (摘要) No relationship will be as important to the twenty-first century as the one between the United States, the only great power around the world, and China, the rising power. Northeast Asia, as argued, is among the most dangerous places on earth with growing importance in international relations. The“North Korean nuclear crisis” is one of the hotspots in Northeast Asia, and tensions rise due to uncertain and unstable political situations especially when the leaders and governments of responsible stakeholders such as the US, China, and North and South Korea experienced alterations during 2012-2017.
In this essay, the author uses the “three levels of analysis” approach to discuss the influences as well as developments of the North Korean nuclear crisis in US-China relations. The US and China see each other as strategic competitors. However, since the boom of globalization, the US and China have become more inter-dependent in the fields of trade, economy, and foreign affairs. When it comes to the North Korean nuclear crisis, cooperation between the US and China is critical to reach resolutions, though there exist some contradictions. It is important for the US and China to establish mutually beneficial great powers relations through bilateral communication and divergences-control management.		en_US
