摘要 在近代30年的紡織產業演進歷程中,大家口中的傳統產業也已經從夕陽產業蛻變為高科技產業,為了讓衣著材料從單純的只注重外觀手感到講究穿著舒適與功能性,業者投入了很多的人工科技與現代的發明,其中聚酯纖維的發明與大量採用,為紡織業注入了一股新的勢力,當大家正沾沾自喜為紡織業成功轉型的時候,綠色環保組織投下了震撼彈,直指紡織產業是僅次於石油產業的最大汙染源,而聚酯纖維的大量使用,成為污染環境的一大元兇。\n\n與聚酯纖維具有相同單元體的另一個材質就是我們生活中隨手可得甚至是不可或缺的塑膠製品,我們每個人每天都會不知不覺地與塑膠製品不期而遇,其中以寶特瓶堪稱是我們的日常好朋友,當我們喝完瓶裝水或飲料丟棄的保特瓶與吸管,可曾想過,這些廢棄物並非如我們想像的被妥善分類再回收與再利用,您可能不知道,每年有800萬公噸的塑料流入海洋被海洋生物所吸取,其中一部分將再藉由生物鏈又回到我們體內,我們的方便已經造成環境汙染不可回復的浩劫,如果再不採取行動,我們賴以維生的海洋資源,將會以迅雷不及掩耳的速度消失殆盡。\n\n此篇論文,將從寶特瓶造成的環境汙染現況切入,再由紡織產業的角度出發,闡述當聚酯纖維已然是紡織原料中不可或缺的重要材質,紡織業者如何因應此一局勢,如何優化生活中的最大塑料汙染源-寶特瓶,如何藉由紡織供應鏈及品牌零售商的力量來強力促使聚酯纖維的回收再利用,同時,如何啟動二手成衣的回收計畫,從已消費端提高聚酯纖維的再利用率。\n\n面對人類科技進化所產生的後遺症,在創新與環境保護的權衡上,目前並沒有兩全其美的最佳解決方案,如何找出兩權相害取其輕的平衡點,仍是目前尚待解決的課題,不過,紡織產業的各大領導品牌,已陸續建立共識,集結產業鏈的強大力量,將為推動環保材質的使用訂定下一個里程碑,共同為拯救地球盡一份力量。
