摘要 在數位匯流的今日,政治人物以社交媒體與選民直接互動,表現出「真誠」或 「真性情」之形象,以獲取選民信任。本文關切的是,政治人物究竟如何建構「真」的形象?而「真」意味著什麼?本文以「本真性」為出發點,柯文哲 Instagram 發文為例。本研究發現,柯文哲「排除」政治社會實踐;「強化」其個人的感受,凸顯「偽後台」的「平民化本真性」面貌。同時柯文哲運用「#」,亦表達其個人感受之意,創造網路社群的互動,建立「相信我,我是真的柯文哲」的認同。
In contemporary political communication, authenticity has become a buzzword, politician using social media impression management and discourse representations for being as authentic, genuine, and real. But what does it mean to be authentic, particularly an authentic politician? In this paper we study impression management by Taipei Mayor Ko Wen-je on Instagram post to explore what the notion of ‘authenticity’ stands for social media studies. In particular, we draw attention around authenticity on social media, and how discussion of politician through socially mediated processes or ‘Pseudo-backstage’ representation to construct ordinariness, predictability, spontaneity and imperfection. We argued that a politician through the construction of ‘Trust me, I’m authentic’’ to gain democratic recognition and engagement with public audiences.
