摘要 This thesis explores the topic of digital banking strategies with focus on Digital Native Enterprises and traditional banks. It compares innovation strategies, success factors, and elaborates on their similarities and differences. Existing literature on the topic is examined in the literature review to identify typical innovation strategies and critical success factors. Based on that, a comparison framework is developed, it consists of the following six dimensions: customer centricity, corporate structure, innovation, compliance, corporate culture, and resources. Also, key challenges of both types of companies are taken into account. In the next step, a comparative case study is conducted using the self-developed framework. The digital banks Fidor Bank AG from Germany and Richart (belongs to the Taiwanese Taishin International Bank) serve as exemplary cases. Subsequently, both cases are applied to the comparison framework. The comparison sheds light on specific similarities, differences, challenges, and critical success factors. Finally, managerial implications are suggested for Digital Native Enterprises as well as traditional banks that are enhancing their digital banking innovation efforts.
