     The Product Development Opportunity of Automotive Products - A case of H Sales Department of G Company, a Taiwanese Electronics Agent

     The product life cycle in the electronics industry is shrinking, which affects the long-term business model, profit margin, and even the survival of companies severely. The main purpose of this study is to explore the business opportunity for new products from the viewpoint of H sales department in the automotive electronics industry for G company, an electronics agency.
     
     Electric vehicle (EV) or smart vehicle is one of the most rapidly growing segmentation in recent years. Taiwanese automotive manufacturers are not the mainstream players in the world. However, the automotive electronics products, upper stream material and parts, take the top share. When its technology improves, EV has become more popular all over the world, which in turn brings new demands for automotive electronics products.
     
     The study focuses on analyzing business opportunity and feasibility of new products in the automotive electronics market for G company. With this research, G company is able to enter the rising automotive electronics market, and become an important agent in the automotive industry instead of maintaining existing business in the fiercely competing consumer electronics industry. The evolving opportunities in the relatively niche automotive electronics market could help G company start ahead of its larger-scale competitors. Due to G company’s flexibility and aggressiveness, G company could achieve a new business revenue peak in the coming years.
