The Judicial Yuan developed the "Sentencing Trend Recommendation System" on December 21, 2018. This paper refers to the sentencing factors in the system and uses all the district court judgments regarding the violation of Controlling Guns, Ammunition and Knives Act in 2019 in order to evaluate whether sentencing is influenced by, other than the facts of the case, the judge gender, gender ratio and region. The results show that judge gender and region have a significant impact on sentencing. On average, the length of sentence of imprisonment made by male judges is 1.3 months longer than that made by female judges. The length of sentence of imprisonment made by district courts whose jurisdiction is in a municipality is 1.4 months shorter than those not in a municipality.參考文獻 Anderson, J. M., & Heaton, P.
