Cryptocurrencies日期 2021 上傳時間 1-Mar-2022 17:06:09 (UTC+8) 摘要 Abstract International Development of Central Bank Digital Currency and Its Implications to Taiwan By Nathan Chien Inspired by digital currencies in the private sector, many central banks began to research or even develop their digital currency, the central bank digital currency (CBDC). This article analyzed CBDC arrangements in selected countries and applied the results to suggesting future CBDC developments in Taiwan. Analysis results show that Taiwan currently has a diversified payment market and strong demand for cash. There is no urgent need to issue a CBDC therefore. However, with the fast-evolving technology, the public`s payment demand may change rapidly, meaning a thorough preparation is inevitable.
