摘要 本研究旨在探討中低家庭社經地位高中生對於階級複製與翻轉的相關認知及看法。社會不平等所形成的階級複製,藉由家庭、社會結構等因素繼續再製與傳遞,綜觀過往研究針對家庭社經地位背景對於子代的影響都帶有著悲觀、被動與不可改變的角度;然而卻也有一部分的研究顯示,個體的自我認同、自我效能及態度等主觀因素也是造成改變的關鍵之一。因此本研究欲從子代的主觀看法切入,主要是針對「親代社經地位背景較低,且認為階級複製可翻轉」之高中生的自身經驗與認知進行探究,並從社會資本論與結構二元化理論去剖析其看法形成的可能原因與歷程脈絡。研究方法採半結構式訪談法,以立意取樣選定台北市公立高中的高三學生作為研究對象,針對其家庭背景、重要他人、自我概念等內外在因素的綜合分析,研究結果發現家庭內互動樣態的模式、家庭外的社會資本網絡、個體自身的主體能動力展現以及家庭背景在階級複製與階級翻轉之間所扮演的雙重角色,都是造就這群中低社經地位家庭子女對於階級複製看法抱持可翻轉態度的主因。期望能透過本次研究補充目前較少談論到的子代主觀範疇,以提供未來相關研究之參考。
The purpose of this study is to explore the perceptions of Low-SES high school students on class mobility. Class reproduction is formed by social inequality and continues to pass on through factors such as family and social structure. Most research has a pessimistic, passive, and unchangeable perspective about class reproduction. Yet some studies have also shown that subjective factors such as individual self-identity, self-efficacy, and attitude are also important keys to making changes. Therefore, this study is particularly interested in those students with relatively Low-SES status and yet believe that class mobility is still happening. And from the perspective of social capital theory and Giddens’ structuration theory to analyze the possible reasons and process of the formation of their views. Through survey with purposive-sampling and semi-structured interviews with grade three senior high school students. It is found that the mode of interaction within the family, the social capital network outside the family, the demonstration of the individual`s agency, and the dual roles played by the family background in the relationship between class replication and class mobility, are the main reasons why these students with relatively Low-SES status believe that they will be able to change their status in the future. This study intended to investigate the different perspectives of class reproduction, so as to provide a reference for future related research.
