題名 《玫瑰瞳鈴眼》：1990年代台灣犯罪電視劇中的家庭與犯罪敘事

摘要 台灣在1990年代曾經歷一段「變動」的時期：犯罪率的升高、離婚率的提高與家庭價值觀的轉變，諸多研究從各載體中探討了此時期與之後家庭價值觀的轉變，如資料庫、新聞、政策與法律等角度切入，唯獨電視劇甚少討論。犯罪劇，即俗稱之「類戲劇」在1990年代的台灣大為風行，儘管飽受爭議但收視率成績優秀，本研究由此背景出發，採取傅柯與Raymond Williams的理論觀點，探討電視劇《玫瑰瞳鈴眼》如何詮釋犯罪與家庭的關係，以及如何展現三方面的家庭價值觀：一夫一妻形式的態度（「為了子女，無論如何不應該離婚」及「儘量維持住一個婚姻」）、家庭延續與父系傳承及家務分工的性別化（「丈夫的責任是賺錢養家，太太是照料家庭」）。

透過敘事分析，本研究共有兩部分的研究發現，前半部分為《玫瑰瞳鈴眼》的犯罪與家庭邏輯，後半部分則透過《玫瑰瞳鈴眼》，觀察此時期家庭價值觀可能的變化：一、家庭中的婚姻與生育事件深深影響命案加害者的犯案動機。二、父親的權力在命案被害者中符合傅柯「法律論證」權力的圖式。三、一夫一妻形式的婚姻中，呈現性別化的離婚原因。四、家庭敘事中，父母若皆非標準的「理想父母」，母親較父親更容易被鎖定為子女「步入歧途」主要的究責對象。五、家務分工的性別化中，傳統家庭內佔據世代與性別階序優勢者管理權力較低的媳婦角色，但媳婦若擁有家族以外的經濟資源，便可逃逸於性別化的家務分工之外。本研究透過討論台灣犯罪劇如何看待家庭與犯罪的交織性，以此為鏡捕捉台灣彼時社會狀況的普遍價值觀與心理狀態，描繪出台灣犯罪劇呈現「新／舊」價值觀間的游移。
最後，台灣犯罪劇至今鮮有研究，但作為曾引起熱潮與爭議的電視節目，並作為1990年代台灣的特殊電視風景，本研究期待未來有更多討論，以挖掘台灣1990年代殊異的轉變特性。
Taiwan went through a period of "change" in the 1990s: an increase in crime rates, higher divorce rates, and a shift in family values. Many studies have explored the changes in family values during this period and beyond, examining various sources such as databases, news, policies, and laws. However, there has been little discussion regarding the role of television drama in this context. Crime television drama, commonly referred to as "crime series," were popular in Taiwan in the 1990s, despite being controversial. These shows achieved high viewership ratings. Taking this background into account, this study adopts the theoretical perspectives of Michel Foucault and Raymond Williams to explore how the television drama, Rose n` Siren Eyes, interprets the relationship between crime and the family, as well as how it presents three aspects of family values: the attitude towards monogamy, the continuation of the family and paternal lineage, and gendered division of household labor.

Through narrative analysis, this study presents two main research findings. The first part we examine the crime and family logic in Rose n` Siren Eyes, and the second part potential changes in family values during that period is observed through the lens of the television drama. The findings are as follows: First, marital and reproductive events within families deeply influence the motivations of crime perpetrators. Second, the power dynamics of fathers in cases of crime victims conform to Foucault`s schema of power in legal discourse. Third, gendered reasons for divorce are presented within the context of monogamous marriages. Fourth, in family narratives, if both parents fail to meet the standards of "ideal parents," mothers are more likely than fathers to be held primarily responsible for their children "going astray." Last but not least, within the gendered division of household labor, daughters-in-law, who have lower power in managing the household, hold a higher position if they possess economic resources outside of the family.

In conclusion, this study discusses how Taiwanese crime television drama perceive the intertwining of family and crime, capturing the prevailing values and psychological states of Taiwanese society at that time, depicting the oscillation between "new" and "old" values in Taiwanese crime television drama.

Finally, the author proposes that the room regarding research on Taiwanese crime television drama to date still be available to grow. Additionally, Taiwanese crime television drama that have sparked trends and controversies and as a unique television landscape in 1990s Taiwan, the author hopes for further discussions in the future to uncover the distinctive characteristics of the transformations in Taiwan during the 1990s.

dc.description.abstract (摘要) 台灣在1990年代曾經歷一段「變動」的時期：犯罪率的升高、離婚率的提高與家庭價值觀的轉變，諸多研究從各載體中探討了此時期與之後家庭價值觀的轉變，如資料庫、新聞、政策與法律等角度切入，唯獨電視劇甚少討論。犯罪劇，即俗稱之「類戲劇」在1990年代的台灣大為風行，儘管飽受爭議但收視率成績優秀，本研究由此背景出發，採取傅柯與Raymond Williams的理論觀點，探討電視劇《玫瑰瞳鈴眼》如何詮釋犯罪與家庭的關係，以及如何展現三方面的家庭價值觀：一夫一妻形式的態度（「為了子女，無論如何不應該離婚」及「儘量維持住一個婚姻」）、家庭延續與父系傳承及家務分工的性別化（「丈夫的責任是賺錢養家，太太是照料家庭」）。

透過敘事分析，本研究共有兩部分的研究發現，前半部分為《玫瑰瞳鈴眼》的犯罪與家庭邏輯，後半部分則透過《玫瑰瞳鈴眼》，觀察此時期家庭價值觀可能的變化：一、家庭中的婚姻與生育事件深深影響命案加害者的犯案動機。二、父親的權力在命案被害者中符合傅柯「法律論證」權力的圖式。三、一夫一妻形式的婚姻中，呈現性別化的離婚原因。四、家庭敘事中，父母若皆非標準的「理想父母」，母親較父親更容易被鎖定為子女「步入歧途」主要的究責對象。五、家務分工的性別化中，傳統家庭內佔據世代與性別階序優勢者管理權力較低的媳婦角色，但媳婦若擁有家族以外的經濟資源，便可逃逸於性別化的家務分工之外。本研究透過討論台灣犯罪劇如何看待家庭與犯罪的交織性，以此為鏡捕捉台灣彼時社會狀況的普遍價值觀與心理狀態，描繪出台灣犯罪劇呈現「新／舊」價值觀間的游移。
最後，台灣犯罪劇至今鮮有研究，但作為曾引起熱潮與爭議的電視節目，並作為1990年代台灣的特殊電視風景，本研究期待未來有更多討論，以挖掘台灣1990年代殊異的轉變特性。		zh_TW
dc.description.abstract (摘要) Taiwan went through a period of "change" in the 1990s: an increase in crime rates, higher divorce rates, and a shift in family values. Many studies have explored the changes in family values during this period and beyond, examining various sources such as databases, news, policies, and laws. However, there has been little discussion regarding the role of television drama in this context. Crime television drama, commonly referred to as "crime series," were popular in Taiwan in the 1990s, despite being controversial. These shows achieved high viewership ratings. Taking this background into account, this study adopts the theoretical perspectives of Michel Foucault and Raymond Williams to explore how the television drama, Rose n` Siren Eyes, interprets the relationship between crime and the family, as well as how it presents three aspects of family values: the attitude towards monogamy, the continuation of the family and paternal lineage, and gendered division of household labor.

Through narrative analysis, this study presents two main research findings. The first part we examine the crime and family logic in Rose n` Siren Eyes, and the second part potential changes in family values during that period is observed through the lens of the television drama. The findings are as follows: First, marital and reproductive events within families deeply influence the motivations of crime perpetrators. Second, the power dynamics of fathers in cases of crime victims conform to Foucault`s schema of power in legal discourse. Third, gendered reasons for divorce are presented within the context of monogamous marriages. Fourth, in family narratives, if both parents fail to meet the standards of "ideal parents," mothers are more likely than fathers to be held primarily responsible for their children "going astray." Last but not least, within the gendered division of household labor, daughters-in-law, who have lower power in managing the household, hold a higher position if they possess economic resources outside of the family.

In conclusion, this study discusses how Taiwanese crime television drama perceive the intertwining of family and crime, capturing the prevailing values and psychological states of Taiwanese society at that time, depicting the oscillation between "new" and "old" values in Taiwanese crime television drama.

Finally, the author proposes that the room regarding research on Taiwanese crime television drama to date still be available to grow. Additionally, Taiwanese crime television drama that have sparked trends and controversies and as a unique television landscape in 1990s Taiwan, the author hopes for further discussions in the future to uncover the distinctive characteristics of the transformations in Taiwan during the 1990s.		en_US
