冷戰後各國經濟逐漸開放，自由貿易概念開始盛行，隨著各國經貿關係日漸緊密，經濟工具成為各國外交談判的籌碼之一。而中國經濟的快速成長，相應地增加其在國際社會上的話語權，特別是在各種對外交涉的工具中，經濟制裁既能對目標國產生壓力，又能吻合中國所提倡的和平崛起，因此冷戰後中國使用經濟制裁的次數有上升的趨勢。本文欲以10個中國制裁案例，探討冷戰後中國經濟制裁的模式及成效，以作為未來應對中國外交政策的參考。鑒於經濟制裁屬於強制外交的一種，強制外交又可區分為「嚇阻」（Deterrence）及「壓制」（Compellence）兩種，因此本文將把案例區分為嚇阻及壓制兩種，探討中國當目的不同時，是否會改變其使用的手段，進而影響整體制裁的成效。另外本文將以新現實主義作為研究途徑，貿易互賴可能意味著一國的脆弱，當一國的關鍵物資掌握在他國手中，很有可能出現不得不讓步的情形，本文將以此為分析框架，探討中國如何利用貿易互賴提升其經濟制裁成效。 冷戰後各國經濟逐漸開放，自由貿易概念開始盛行，隨著各國經貿關係日漸緊密，經濟工具成為各國外交談判的籌碼之一。而中國經濟的快速成長，相應地增加其在國際社會上的話語權，特別是在各種對外交涉的工具中，經濟制裁既能對目標國產生壓力，又能吻合中國所提倡的和平崛起，因此冷戰後中國使用經濟制裁的次數有上升的趨勢。本文欲以10個中國制裁案例，探討冷戰後中國經濟制裁的模式及成效，以作為未來應對中國外交政策的參考。鑒於經濟制裁屬於強制外交的一種，強制外交又可區分為「嚇阻」（Deterrence）及「壓制」（Compellence）兩種，因此本文將把案例區分為嚇阻及壓制兩種，探討中國當目的不同時，是否會改變其使用的手段，進而影響整體制裁的成效。另外本文將以新現實主義作為研究途徑，貿易互賴可能意味著一國的脆弱，當一國的關鍵物資掌握在他國手中，很有可能出現不得不讓步的情形，本文將以此為分析框架，探討中國如何利用貿易互賴提升其經濟制裁成效。
