| zh_TW |
dc.description.abstract (摘要) | Virtual Reality (VR) has been widely tested and applied in technology market, such as gaming, sports, medical and tourism industries. However, cultural content production and fostering of cultural identity though VR technology in education industry is rarely mentioned. Therefore, by combining the VR technology with the culture of Taiwan, and catching the perspectives of the culture of Taiwan with 360-degree camera lens, the research provides an opportunity for Taiwanese and International students in universities to experience the immersive cultural journey. Through VR experiments and in-depth interviews, the research explores the feasibility of fostering the cultural identity of Taiwan among young generations in the immersive experience. On top of that, feedback and suggestions on improving the 360-video content will be provided for future reference. The research outcomes showing the changes of Taiwanese cultural imagination and identity of the university students, from the society of Taiwan which was emphasizing on the representation of Chinese culture, towards the current society of Taiwan which is advocating the diversity of cultural representation. Taiwanese university students participating in the VR experiment suggested that besides the university students in Taiwan, Taiwanese students in elementary schools are also suitable to watch the 360-video for fostering the cultural identity of Taiwan. On the other hand, the interviewees expressed their wish of having more interactions with the subject of the 360-video in future, while doing some activities related to the culture of Taiwan in the immersive environment, such as learning indigenous dance, making Aiyu jelly, playing night market games, etc. | en_US |
