摘要 The exploration of Artificial Intelligence Generated Content (A.I.G.C.) in art education presents a transformative opportunity for multimedia programs, particularly within the Department of Comic Arts (D.C.A.), Tainan University of Technology, Taiwan. This paper delves into the dual studies conducted to assess the integration of A.I. art courses into academic curricula and develop cooperative production strategies using A.I.G.C. to enhance graphic computing. The primary objective of this research is to critically assess the benefits and impediments associated with the incorporation of A.I. art courses and to proffer strategic recommendations for their systemic integration into multimedia academic programs. The initial investigation aimed at integrating A.I.G.C. courses into the D.C.A. curriculum involved a series of AI-centric lectures and an extensive survey involving 92 students. The findings revealed a preference for elective A.I.G.C. courses, with most favoring lecture-based delivery over full curriculum integration. These results underscore the need for a balanced approach that respects traditional artistic values while embracing technological advancements. Furthermore, the second study focused on the “Summer Sunshine” project, employing Stable Diffusion and LoRA models to achieve high fidelity and consistency in manga production. This case study illustrated the practical efficiencies of A.I.G.C., from reducing manual labor to enhancing artistic quality, thereby setting new standards for A.I.'s role in graphic arts. Overall, the studies highlight the potential benefits and challenges of embedding A.I. art courses into curricula and demonstrate the effective use of A.I. in manga production through A.I.G.C. technologies. The findings from these investigations prompt broader discussions about the role of A.I. in art, advocating for policies that support ethical practices and nurture the coexistence of A.I. and traditional artistic methods.
