摘要 This study examines the twin transformation of digitalization and sustainability within Taiwan’s public library system using ambidexterity theory. Through a case study approach, it explores how public libraries balance digital innovation with the optimization of sustainable practices, analyzing their impact on operations, services, and resource management. Focusing on Taiwan’s public library system, the research identifies best practices for integrating these initiatives. By applying ambidexterity theory, the study offers insights into how libraries can innovate while maintaining traditional functions, fostering social equity, and reducing environmental impact, providing guidance for global libraries navigating technological and sustainable transitions.
