摘要 本論文旨在探討非字面說謊對傳統說謊理論的挑戰。根據傳統觀點，說謊是指說話者說出自己相信為假的內容，因此通常局限於話語的字面意義。然而，Emanuel Viebahn（2017）對此傳統觀點提出異議。他認為，說謊不一定要說出相信為假的內容，而是可以通過展現具有命題的溝通行為來實現。為此，他提出以「承諾」（commit）取代「說出」（say）在說謊定義中的角色，同時以此區分說謊與誤導。基於此觀點，Viebahn發展了一種以「承諾」為基礎的說謊定義，為解釋非字面說謊提供了理論框架，進而挑戰傳統的說謊觀點。本文將深入探討這一說謊定義，並藉由分析以預設來說謊的案例，以及採用以非字面溝通行為（隱喻、反諷、寬鬆使用和誇飾）來說謊的例子，闡述其說謊理論及探究可能的困難。
