摘要 This study investigates the transformative role of digital curation within libraries, focusing on how the interplay between technological advances and user demands shapes their function as custodians of knowledge and active participants in value co-creation with patrons. Utilizing a case study of National Central Library (NCL) in Taiwan and employing a value co-creation framework, the research examines how it adapts digital curation strategies to align technological capabilities with user expectations, thereby enhancing access and engagement with digital collections. The analysis underscores the critical need for adaptive digital curation practices capable of responding to the evolving digital landscape and shifting user needs. This research contributes to the discourse on the strategic importance of digital curation in libraries, highlighting its potential to bridge the gap between traditional roles of preservation and the interactive, dynamic demands of the digital era, and offers insights into future directions for library services and user interaction.
