摘要 This commentary responds to ‘Diversifying the compact city’ (Haarstad, Kjærås, Røe, and Tveiten, 2023) by introducing the elemental thinking of urban air rights. I argue that the analytical tool of ‘following air rights’ can contribute to the proposed research agenda by connecting the sociotechnical operations of urban policy tools, metabolic flows across multiple urban sites, and the actionable potential of antagonism and commoning.
