| dc.description.abstract (摘要) | Due to the nature of LiDAR systems, every single point that is generated usually contains no redundant measurements, and there is no associated measure that can be used to evaluate the quality of point clouds, except for the nominal precision that manufacturers claim. Therefore, a well-defined set of quality assessment and quality control procedures is needed before embarking on any aspect of LiDAR data processing. This chapter thus introduces basic components of LiDAR systems and relevant error budgets, and this is followed by a discussion of common approaches to the quality assessment and control of LiDAR data. | |
