| dc.description.abstract (摘要) | 全球化加速文化/人群的接觸與衝突，人們在強調尊重個別群體差異的同時，也試圖尋求共同集體認同的凝聚。然而強調肯認差異的多元文化，很可能不利於形成集體認同與社會整合，此種「整合-肯認的兩難」又可稱之為「進步性難題」(progressive dilemma, Barry 2001)。而強調肯認少數族群文化的多元文化主義，由於個別文化中所蘊含的特定傳統性別規範，也可能不利於女性主義的平等價值，此種不同文化/明在性別價值上的矛盾，則是被稱為「真正的文明衝突」(the true clash of civilization, Inglehart and Norris 2003)。不同的認同之間所構成的難題與衝突，正是本計畫試圖探討的課題。本計劃探討族群多元文化—國族認同—女性主義，三種認同政治在不同的情境脈絡，不同的連結與矛盾。我試圖以此三年期研究來分析三者的關係。 | |
| dc.description.abstract (摘要) | Globalization facilitates the contact and conflict among different groups of people. In search for the collective identities as well as respecting individual ethnicities, nationalism and multiculturalism are often in conflict. The collision between the multiculturalism and nationalism is referred by Barry(2001) as “the progressive dilemma” or “the integration-recognition paradox”. Furthermore, multiculturalism demands recognition for the minority culture, yet minority culture needs not necessary support gender equality values, multiculturalism is proved sometimes to be bad for women. Inglehart and Norris (2003) coined the divergences of the gender values among different cultures as “the true clash of civilization”. Multiculturalism, nationalism and feminism, all these three identities under different contexts are connected and conflicting in many ways. This project intends to unravel the relationship between these three with a three-year plan. | |
