題名 Pokemon GO與Ingress的遊戲文化
The Game Culture of Pokemon Go and Ingress

摘要 Pokemon GO 已經是全球六歲到六十歲全民瘋迷的遊戲了,但仍有不少人聽到「遊戲」兩個字的直覺反應是「難登大雅之堂」、「無聊」、「太閒」等等。不過,Pokemon GO 的全球轟動,也引起社會各界的重視。在本計劃書中將應用過去在相關研究領域所引用或發展出來的理論觀點與概念,先從遊戲在人類社會中的(無)意義著手,接著解釋AR 遊戲的開創性,最後再藉由與Ingress 的比較,來幫助大家更具體細緻地了解Pokemon GO 的遊戲機制,以便作為比較兩者遊戲文化的基礎。從而激發社會大眾對Pokemon GO 潛力的想像,或許有助於降低其負面影響,發揮其正面效益。
Pokemon GO has already been one of the most popular game all over the world. But on the one hand, many people still feel contemptible about games, however, on the other hand, the ferventness caused by Pokemon GO has attracted attentions, and incited various attempts to utilize it for profits, sight-seeing, education, etc. In this research project, we will firstly use the concept of Homo Ludens of J. Huizinga to emphasize the importance of game in the development of civilizations. Secondly, we will try to elaborate the significance of AR games, especially in comparison with traditional VR games. Thirdly, we will make a comparison between Ingress and Pokemon GO in order to analyze their game design and game mechanism. And finally, on the basis of this comparison, this project want to underline the differences between the game culture of Ingress and Pokemon GO. Hopefully it will be helpful for the development of new games in the future.
