| dc.description.abstract (摘要) | 本研究計晝嘗試探討在國際競爭深化下美國勞動市場對人力資本需求的改變。本計晝預計使用美國 O*NET資料庫，從技能、能力、知識、及工作模式廣泛地探討人力資本。我們會允許國際競爭對人 力資本需求的影響因競爭對手國、產業類型等因素而有所不同，同時會考量上下游產業所受國際競爭 的影響。我們另外會嘗試探討國際競爭對於不同大學科系學生的影響。 | |
| dc.description.abstract (摘要) | This project aims to analyze the effect of global competition on human capital requirement in the United States, and helps us identify the required human capital that can allow workers to weather increasing global competition. Using detailed occupational information on required skills, abilities, knowledge, and work styles from the O*NET database, I will consider a wide range of human capital that are valued in the labor market. In the project, I will allow the possibility that competitions from different countries may have different effects on human capital requirement, and also consider the possibility that industry characteristics may affect human capital requirement. Sectoral linkages will also be considered, so this project not only considers the global competition within the industry in question, but also the competition occurred in upstream and downstream industries. Finally, a simple exercise of calculating the impact of global competition on students from different college majors will be conducted. | |
