| dc.description.abstract (摘要) | 在全球雲端運算與人工智慧(AI)需求急劇增長的背景下,伺服器產業的競爭日益白熱化。台灣企業在全球伺服器供應鏈中佔據主導地位,然而,如何在高度客製化與快速變動的市場中,維持並延續其競爭優勢,是當前產業與學術界共同關注的關鍵議題。現有文獻雖觸及競爭優勢的形成,但對於伺服器 ODM 企業如何透過系統性資源配置、特殊能力建構,以及面臨的延續性挑戰,尚無深入且整合性的個案分析。
本研究選取台灣伺服器產業領先企業 Y 公司作為個案,旨在剖析其維持競爭優勢的關鍵因素、其價值創造機制,以及此優勢延續性所面臨的潛在風險。透過對 Y 公司營運模式與策略的深度分析,本研究歸納出以下研究發現與結論:
1. Y公司以終端價值為導向,系統性地配置全球製造據點、研發能量、以及高度整合的客戶服務能力。此策略實質提升了客戶願付價格(WTP)並降低專案導入成本(WTS),透過價值桿架構,證明其能為客戶創造並穩定交付高附加價值服務。
2. Y 公司深度嵌入式的服務能力體系,根植於跨部門協同與長期客戶互動,形成難以模仿且具高度組織嵌入性的差異化競爭優勢。
3. 儘管 Y 公司藉高度專屬性投入強化與主要客戶的合作關係,其競爭優勢的延續性可能受限於資源綁定與組織慣性風險,導致潛在的套牢效應或錯失新興客群機會。
本研究深化了對伺服器 ODM 產業競爭優勢來源的理解,特別是強調整合性服務能力在高度客製化情境中的決定性作用,並指出其優勢延續的潛在挑戰。Y公司的個案經驗為技術型製造企業如何在變動環境中建構與維持差異化競爭優勢,提供豐富的實務洞察與理論補充,對相關產業具重要的借鑒意義。 | zh_TW |
| dc.description.abstract (摘要) | In the context of the rapidly growing global demand for cloud computing and artificial intelligence (AI), competition in the server industry has intensified. Taiwanese enterprises play a dominant role in the global server supply chain; however, sustaining and extending their competitive advantages in a highly customized and rapidly changing market remains a critical issue for both industry and academia. While existing research touches upon competitive advantage formation, there is limited in-depth and integrated case analysis on how leading server ODM firms achieve systemic resource configuration, build specialized capabilities, and address the challenges to their advantage's sustainability.
This study adopts Company Y, a leading enterprise in Taiwan's server industry, as a case study to analyze the key factors sustaining its competitive advantage, its value creation mechanisms, and the potential risks to its sustainability. Through analysis of Company Y's operating model and strategies, this study identifies the following core findings and conclusions:
1. Company Y adopts an end-value-oriented approach, systematically configuring its global manufacturing sites, R&D capabilities, and highly integrated customer service. This strategy, demonstrated via a value stick framework, effectively boosts customer willingness-to-pay (WTP) and reduces project implementation costs (WTS), enabling high-value-added service delivery.
2. Its deeply embedded service capability system, rooted in cross-departmental collaboration and long-term customer interaction, forms a difficult-to-imitate and highly organizationally embedded source of differentiated competitive advantage.
3. Although Company Y strengthens collaborative relationships with key customers through highly dedicated investments, the sustainability of its competitive advantage may be limited by resource hold-up and organizational inertia risks, potentially leading to a "hold-up effect" or missed opportunities with emerging customer segments.
This study deepens the understanding of competitive advantage sources in the server ODM industry, highlighting the decisive role of integrated service capabilities in highly customized contexts, while also identifying challenges to their sustainability. Company Y's case offers valuable practical insights and theoretical supplements for technology-oriented manufacturing enterprises striving to build and maintain differentiated competitive advantages. | en_US |
