| dc.description.abstract (摘要) | 雲爆發是一種混和雲的模式，其幫助公司使用外部雲端資源來協助自身內部運算資源的不足，特別是在公司需要大量運算資源的時候。本計畫將檢視雲爆發是否對於一家具有自身內部運算資源的應用服務公司，帶來正面的效應還是此公司應該繼續維持本身現有的私有雲資源做運算。若是改使用雲爆發，公司的運算資源將產生彈性，但對於使用公有雲資源的運算將帶來資料的外洩的風險，而繼續使用私有雲對公司來說，沒了此風險的存在,但卻無法有足夠的資源做應用服務的運算。因此，我們將藉由模型的推導，來探討此議題.而模型會針對此公司在非競爭與競爭的情境皆做推導。我們期待能定義出在甚麼情況之下，採用雲爆發是值得的，而在什麼情況下，該維持現有的私有雲。我們同時也將做敏感度的數值分析，來連結最佳的雲端運算模式與利潤。 | |
| dc.description.abstract (摘要) | Cloudbursting, a hybrid cloud computing model, helps firms supplement their internal computing capacity by using external resources from a public cloud to meet increased demand. This proposal will examine whether cloudbursting benefits an application service firm by using only its in-house capacity. The cloudbursting cloud model provides computing scalability, but poses potential risks from data leakage and malicious hacking when bursting into a public cloud. A private cloud reduces such risks, however, is constrained by resource limitations. We will develop quantitative models under both non-competitive and competitive settings. Overall, we intend to identity the conditions about when a profit-maximizing firm will benefit from migrating to cloudbursting and when this firm maintains a private cloud. We will also conduct a numerical study to link a (competing) firm’s profit performance with its best cloud deployment choice. | |
