| dc.description.abstract (摘要) | This study examines user perceptions of archival retrieval system functionality and interface design within the context of digital humanities research. Task-based user observations were conducted, with comprehensive recordings of participants’ interactions on archival retrieval systems, complemented by usability questionnaires to capture user experience and identify specific usability issues. Findings show that, despite recognizing the value of digital humanities analytical features, participants found the systems’ interfaces, functions, and terminology unintuitive. Overreliance on dropdown menus, insufficient guidance, and difficulties navigating hierarchical structures led to errors and trial-and-error behavior, hindering engagement and full system use. The study concludes with practical recommendations to improve the usability of archival retrieval systems integrating digital humanities analytical features. | |
