dc.description.abstract (摘要) | Roles of culture, phenomena in cross-cultural communication, and language in thought and culture are reviewed. Pedagogical applications through stimulation of cultural awareness in the EFL classroom are presented. Students` responses to the pedagogy based on the questionnaire and interviews are analyzed and interpreted. Cultural awareness can be seen as an aid to language learning and provides a channel to manage cross-cultural communication. Suggestions to improve the situation of insufficient cultural background for teachers are also given. | en_US |
