摘要 在顧客需求多樣、產品生命週期縮短之現今環境下,新產品開發已成為企業競爭力的重要來源之一。企業須提昇新產品開發績效,開發出具競爭力的新產品,方能在激烈商戰中保有一席之地。而新產品開發涉及許多能力,這些能力對於新產品開發的成功與否具有重大影響。伴隨新產品開發之日益重要,也使得企業應加強蓄積的能力為何之問題不容忽視;此對面臨產業結構從傳統的製造導向轉為以強調研發、技術為導向之轉型期的我國而言,更趨重要,攸關國家未來長期發展。但至目前為止,探討影響新產品開發績效之能力的實證研究仍相當少,進一步將能力予以分類並結合考量能力間配適對績效影響者更是缺乏。 本計畫之目的即以我國上市櫃資訊電子業為對象,採取大規模問卷調查方法,探討影響新產品開發績效之能力,並研究員工能力與組織能力之配合對新產品開發績效之影響;且將組織能力分為整合結構、管理流程、績效管理與獎酬制度等三類。為力求問卷適切與完善,除蒐集彙整相關文獻外,並擬實地訪談代表企業相關人員及進行預試。同時透過文獻彙整、實地訪談及大規模問卷調查,以建構出真實反映我國企業員工能力、組織能力與新產品開發績效間關係的架構,並提出建議,俾補充相關理論探討及助國內產業界蓄積適切能力與提昇競爭力。
In current circumstances that customers’ needs are diversifying and product life cycle is shortening, developing new products has become one of the important sources of business competitiveness. In order to survive in the intense competition, firms should promote the performance of new product development and develop new products with competitiveness. New product development needs many capabilities, and these capabilities have a great effect upon the performance of new product development. As new product development becomes more important, the question what are the capabilities that firms should accumulate cannot be neglected. For our country that industrial structure is changing from traditional manufacturing- driven to emphasizing R&D and technology, accumulating those capabilities becomes more important, and is relevant to the long-term development of our country. But up to now, the empirical studies which investigated the capabilities affecting new product development performance are still very few. The researches that have further classified capabilities and considered the interaction of different capabilities are more deficient. The purpose of this research project is to explore the capabilities that affect new product development performance and the impact of interaction of employee capabilities and organizational capabilities on new product development performance. The large-scale questionnaire investigation method will be used to examine the information electronics industry in Taiwan. And the organizational capabilities will be classified into integration structure, management processes, and performance management and incentive system. In order to ensure the adequacy and completeness of the questionnaire, besides all the related papers will be surveyed, field interviews with related personnel of representative firms and pilot test will also be implemented. By the ways of literature surveys, field interviews, and questionnaire investigation, the framework that truly expresses the relationship among employee capabilities, organizational capabilities, and new product development performance can be developed. The research results will be helpful for complementing the related theoretical exploration and helping our domestic companies to accumulate appropriate capabilities and promote competitiveness.
