dc.description.abstract (摘要) | 電子商務的網站常常需要展示很大量的多媒體資訊,造成瀏覽者在資訊蒐尋上的困難,尤其是當使用scrollbars,因為一個網頁其實可能包含了好幾個螢幕,困難情形可能更嚴重。因此網頁配置設計可能會對瀏覽者知覺到這個網頁的清楚程度及資訊的可搜尋性有顯著影響。本研究將使用認知心理學中模板理論及以往文獻中所提到的螢幕或網頁清楚度影響因素來了解資訊搜尋與瀏覽時瀏覽者如何在認知上簡化這些複雜的資訊。並且進一步利用這些影響瀏覽者認知簡化的因素去發展出能有效幫助資訊搜尋與瀏覽的網頁配置設計原則。 本研究預計利用三個實驗,第一個實驗是以線上購物網站為工具,以經常從事資訊搜尋與瀏覽行為的大學生為受試。利用網頁瀏覽回憶圖,以內容分析法去了解瀏覽者的認知模版及造成認知簡化的可能因素。第二個實驗是以結構模式去分析同樣任務但式不同的網頁配置的清楚度及造成清楚度的影響因素,將清楚度轉化成可以量化的公式及指導。第三個實驗是根據前述兩個實驗所得之重要影響因素,以研究者自行發展的模擬網站工具,去驗證瀏覽者的模版與網頁清楚度的因素所造成的資訊可搜尋性與網頁清楚度對資訊搜尋時間與喜好的影響。 | en_US |
dc.description.abstract (摘要) | Websites on e commerce often display a large amount of multi-media information, creating problems in terms of information findability. The problem is further complicated by the fact that a webpage with scroll bars may contain more than one screen. A webpage’s perceived legibility and information findability may be strongly influenced by webpage design. Hence this research uses the theory of template matching in cognitive psychology and literature on screen and webpage legibility to understand the how users simplify information finding. Principles of effective webpage design are developed based on factors of cognitive simplification. The research contains three experiments. The first experiment will recruit college students experienced with Internet surfing to draw websites from memory. A content analysis will be conducted in an attempt to explore the subjects’ cognitive templates and factors influencing webpages’ perceived legibility. The second experiment will seek to identify critical attributes of easy-to-read webpages through analyzing webpages with similar content and ultimately creating a structural model. Results will be reported in the form of quantitative “formulas” and directive guidelines. The third experiment will validate the usefulness of the identified template and legibility factors through looking at how the template and factors affect information seeking time and preference. | en_US |
