摘要 「媒介經濟學」隨著傳播、電訊與網路的匯流,在過去十年中受到學術界與實務界的重視,彌補傳統傳播理論在產業分析上的不足。不過研究者大都從產業經濟學、策略管理與反托辣斯法來分析傳播產業,而這樣的研究取向,卻無法解決非量化、歷史脈絡與意義的問題,例如市場結構與內容文本間的關係,或是處理近年來興起的文化經濟學、創意產業與美學經濟,以及因應數位網路新科技對內容生產與分配的衝擊。因此本書希望以傳統的產業經濟學為基礎(Structure- Conduct-Performance: SCP),加入賽局理論、理性選擇、新制度經濟、傳播政治經濟學與文化消費等研究面向,釐清不同研究理論的優勢,以提供後續研究者不同典範間對話的可能。
After the deregulation of the media market, the academics and the professional have paid more attention on the communication industry research, which applied theories from political economy, industrial organization, strategy management and antitrust law, and could compensate the traditional communication research. In addition, at the age of digital technology and creative industries, the way customers to produce and consume cultural content has dramatically changed. It makes us to rethink the crossroad of the communication industry research as well as teaching, and tries to suggest a dialogue among different theories and make a break through.
