| dc.description.abstract (摘要) | 現代政府的正當性的首要來源便是回應民意。媒體報導可能反應了政府施政的缺失，政府的重視程度便是民意能否課責政府的指標。隨著經濟自由化，中國媒體已經越來越敢於報導各種民眾心聲與社會問題，某種程度提醒官方需要負責任的回應。本計畫嘗試從三大城市—北京、上海、廣州—的報紙內容分析，觀察中國媒體在過去十年反應了那些社會問題，並且以個案研究探討中國政府的回應程度及方式。這樣的評估有助於瞭解中國報紙的自由度，以及媒體監督政府的程度。 | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract (摘要) | The most important source of legitimacy of modern government is responsiveness. Media reports may reflect the shortcomings of policies, and the extent to which government react to them indicates the level of accountability. Along with economy liberalization, Chinese media become dare to report public opinions and social issues. To some degree, government is forced to respond to mass media. This project attempts to observe what types of social issues are presented through the content analysis of newspapers in Beijing, Shanhei and Guangzhou. We will also use case studies to show how much and in what way Chinese government responds to mass media. The evaluation of newspapers should help us understand more about media liberalization and government responsiveness in China. | en_US |
