| Summary | 本文關切新聞報導之「圖」與「文」如何相互建構新聞故事、如何共同再現新聞事件之情境，從理論層面討論新聞敘事之「圖」與「文」建構意義的論述問題，並以「凡那比颱風」（Typhoon Fanapi）襲台之夜高雄縣岡山「晉德安養院」老人泡水新聞為例，透過個案方式分析新聞文字與照片如何以互補又互斥角色分擔「講故事」任務，藉此探究新聞圖文說故事時之共存關係。 The purpose of this study is to analyze a recent news story which employs both words and photos as communicative signs. Traditional theories of news narrative had followed the logic of the signs of language, but then what is a different discourse for news which constructs its story by employing two different kinds of sign systems? This research explores the relationship between news and news photos through a qualitative method in order to find the relationships, if any, between words and photos in a news story. These relationships, as the research reveals, include 1) words and photos compensate each other; 2) they reject each other; 3) they suggest further meanings waiting to be revealed; and 4) they competes against each other in revealing meanings. |
