摘要 本研究呼應Damanpour (1992)與Wolfe(1994)的觀點，一方面以組織類型和產業類型為權變變數，另方面釐清相關變數的意義與範圍，進一步探討組織特徵與組織創新的關係。本研究首先根據Damanpour(1991, 1992)有關組織創新meta- analysis 的結果，以產業類型和組織類型為主要干擾變數，再參酌Woodman, Sawyer, and Griffin (1993), Slappendel(1996), Nohria and Gulati(1996), Kessler and Chakra- barti (1996)，Sanchez (1997), Goes and Park(1997)所強調的變數關係，綜合提出研究計畫與假設，以便實證組織特徵與組織創新的權變關係。由於幼教產業中公私立組織（公立幼稚園和托兒所，以及私立幼稚園和托兒所）並存，不但組織類型明顯，研究結果又相當富有政策意涵（如公私立幼兒園孰較富創新性？可提供幼稚園公立化政策之思考），因此，第一年計畫係以國內幼教產業中之幼稚園組織為實證對象。第二年延續第一年的觀念架構，針對國內幼教產業中的托兒所組織進行實證。
