| dc.description.abstract (摘要) | With the existence of the digital age, academic libraries need to respond to the challenges of scholarly communications. This paper begins with research reports which foreboded future trends of development, and then follows the definitions, functions, evolution, issues and new models of scholarly communications. Promotion and advocacy for the concept of scholarly communications by famous academic libraries in the United States have been examined, and recommendations of possible roles for academic libraries with a scholarly communication system are being proposed. | en_US |
