摘要 不論是就T. Parsons 或N. Luhmann 的理論來看,貨幣經濟的運作可以說是理解系統信任 的最佳切入點。就這一方面而言,資訊時代的來臨不僅表現在信用卡在今日經濟活動中 的重要地位,更具特色的則是線上遊戲中虛擬貨幣與現實世界貨幣所逐漸形成的等價關 係。隨之,環繞著線上遊戲中虛擬財貨在虛擬社區與真實世界的實效性,也產生了諸多 相關的交易、詐欺,以及代客操作的職業與公司。不論是消極面的糾紛或案件,還是積 極面的相關產業興起,都意味著此一起源於模控空間的虛擬財貨已逐漸對真實世界帶來 衝擊。但從另一個角度來看,虛擬財貨的價值也經由與真實世界貨幣的等價關係、乃至 於政府、治安機關的介入維持秩序而得到其實效性的信任基礎。亦即,在這個現象上, 我們可以清楚地看到真實與虛擬的相互滲透。本研究正是以此為基本脈絡來研究「虛擬 貨幣的真實化」。討論的重點在於虛擬社區的運作規則或線上遊戲的遊戲規則對其效用 的界定、玩家之間幻想的交互感應在建構社會現實上的作用、政府公權力介入虛擬社區 的作用與界限,及其與商業機構的關係等公、私領域劃分的問題。也希望能夠藉著對虛 擬貨幣實效性的討論,切入有關網路自律與政府介入的爭辯,以及資訊時代公共性與商 業化的關係。
No matter according to the social theory of T. Parsons or N. Luhmann, money economy is the key to understand the operation of system trust. In this perspective, the information age is characterized by the use of virtual money, such as credit cards. But let』s go further. What is most unique is the exchange relation between real money and the virtual commodities in online games, of course including virtual money used by players to purchase everything they need in the game. Therefore, there appear many events related to these virtual commodities in the real world. It means that the virtual commodities in the cyberspace are showing their influence on the real world gradually. Moreover, the value of these virtual commodities is getting its virtuality by way of the intervention of the state of the real world to maintain the social order in online game, no matter whether it is the intention of the government. In this study, we plan to focus on the operation of the virtual community, the interation of illusion between online game players. And besides, we hope the outcome of this study will be helpful for the demarcation of the limitation of the state intervention into the cyberspace and the relations between business enterprises and the government. That is, the relation between the public sphere and private sphere.
