摘要 森林永續發展和森林生態系經營為二十一世紀林業的重要研究課題,該項工作除有賴於明確的準則與指標之外,在執行上應以地景的觀念來達成。本研究以林試所六龜試驗林生態系經營示範區為試區,配合數位航測製圖所產生之1988年與1996年林型圖,應用地理資訊系統技術和與地景形狀指數有關的碎形維度作為指標,探討森林地景的空間變化與時間變遷情形,以及人為干擾如森林經營作業之砍伐與林道對森林地景的影響等。研究結果指出,試區在1988年至1996年期間,從地景空間結構而言,雖然林道僅小部分的增加,但因試驗需要而砍伐的人工林區塊卻增加不少,根據計算所得全景碎形維度值顯示,該變遷對森林地景的影響很小,但若同時考慮砍伐和林道人為干擾時,則對試區的森林地景造成較明顯的影響。由上述結果可知,從空間結構與時間變遷而言,碎形維度確為監測森林地景之一可行指標,可供林業人員從事森林地景監測、規劃
Sustainable development, sustainable forestry, and forest ecosystem management are the main research topics of the 21st century. Achieving these goals requires not only detailed criteria and indicators but also incorporation of the concept of landscape in implementation. In this study, the demonstration forest of ecosystem management at the Lukuei Branch Station, Taiwan Forestry Research Institute was selected as the research site. This study was based on 2 different forest type maps (1996 and 1988) obtained using digital photogrammetry. GIS and fractal dimension were applied to investigate forest spatial variations, forest landscape changes, and the effects of human disturbances, such as cutting and forest roads, on forest landscapes. The results indicate that during 1988 to 1996, from the forest landscape structure perspective, the study area experienced a slight change in forest roads and obvious changes in plantation patches due to cutting for experimental purposes. Nevertheless, these changes have had little effect on the forest landscape based on an area-weighted fractal dimension. Considering human disturbances of cutting and forest roads simultaneously, however, the effect becomes more obvious. As a result, from the perspectives of spatial and temporal changes, the fractal dimension is a useful indicator for monitoring forest landscapes, and it can be applied by foresters in monitoring, planning, and analyzing forest landscapes.
