題名 母親就業與否及其相關因素對子女之學業成就、生活適應影響之研究

     本研究旨在探討母親就業與否是否對孩子學業成就、生活適應產生不同的影響。研究目的有三:(一)探討母親就與否與孩子學業成就之關係,及此關係是否受其他中介因素之影響;(二)探討母親就業與否與孩子生活適應之關係,及此關係是否受其他中介因素之影響;(三)探討生活適應與學業成就之關係。
     本研究採問卷調查法,抽取台北市七所國中二十個班為研究對象,經篩選後七所學校二十班學生中符合受試條件者,合計共有226名,這些學生及其母親組成本研究之樣本,研究工具包括孩子方面的「學生基本資料及家庭社經地位調查表」及「國中生生活適應問卷」,和母親方面的「基本資料調查表」、「社會支持問卷」及「角色態度傾向問卷」。並運用t考驗、單因子變異數分析、雙因子變異數分析、三因子變異數分析、皮爾森積差相關、多元迴歸等統計方法分析資料。
     本研究結果如下:
     (1)國中生之學業成就並不因母親是否就業之不同而有顯著差異;(2)母親就業與否對學生學業成就的影響,會受學生性別與家庭社經地位之中介;(3)母親工作時間對國中生的學業成就沒有顯著的影響;(4)母親就業聲望對國中生的學業成就有顯著的影響;(5)在高社會支持下,母親就業與否不會造成子女學業成就有顯著差異;相反,在低社會支持下,母親就業比母親未就業較有利子女學業成就;(6)不論母親是否就業,具有工作取向的母親較有利子女學業成績;(7)母親就業與否對學生的生活適應,尤其在個人適應有顯著影響;(8)不論母親是否就業,具有工作取向的母親比家庭取向的母親較有利子女生活適應,尤其在社會適應;此外,從工作取向來看,母親就業比母親未就業較有利子女個人適應。(9)不論母親是否就業,家庭社經地位愈高對子女的生活適應、個人適應及社會適應愈有利;(10)不論母親是否就業,女生的生活適應,尤其在個人適應均優於男生;(11)國中生的生活適應、個人適應及社會適應與學業成就呈顯著正相關;(12)在預測國中生的學業成就的過程中,家庭社經地位、生活適應等變項,均具有顯著性作用,其中以生活適應因素最為重要。
