題名 我國大學的教育機會均等、需求與發展之因果模式的探討

摘要 本研究旨在探討大學教育機會均等、大學教育需求與大學教育的發展間之因果關 係。樣本是以參加大學聯招的四年制日間部大學院校為研究對象,時間是以縱貫面的動態資 料分析為主,來探討臺灣地區四十年來大學教育的發展情形。研究結果發現,教育機會愈均 等,會導致量的增加與質的提升,且大學教育需求的增加,也會使量與質的提升,但質的發 展與量的發展之間卻互為消長的因果關係,教育機會均等與大學教育的需求間有負向的關係 。最後,本研究提出結論與建議,作為教育政策與未來研究之參考。
The purpose of this paper is to explore causal relationships among equality of educational opportunity, educational demand, and educational development of four-year universities and colleges in Taiwan. Data are collected from governmental statistics of educational indexes for Taiwan over the past four decades. Linear Structural Relationship (LISREL) modeling analysis is used throughout this research. The research findings are as follows: (1) increase in equality of educational opportunity will cause increase in educational opportunity which will cause increase in educational quantity and the improvement in educational quality; (2) the increase in educational demand will also enhance educational quantity and quality; (3) educational quantity and educational quality are mutually and causally related; and (4) the equality of educational opportunity causes a decline in educational demand. Finally, conclusions and suggestions are proposed for educational decison-making and future study.
