題名 在隨時、隨地、隨興中張弛有度: 探討行動網路時代的即時傳訊
Connecting Anytime, Anywhere at Will: Investigating Instant Messaging in the Age of Mobile Communication

摘要 行動通訊科技的隨時隨地連線特性,已然鬆動了過往以時空節點為基準的生活秩序,並改變現代人溝通、互動以及進行一系列社會行為的方式與樣態,但整體時間韻律的轉折過渡也為大眾帶來各式衝突,包含從鐘錶時間體系進入電子媒介時間體系的困惑不適應,以及當不同個體對於新的時間韻律產生不同的解讀利用方式時,彼此之間的糾結與矛盾。本研究目的在於探討當代使用者身處在這樣的拉扯變盪中,是如何在自我與群體期望間調和協商,找到進退有據的互動平衡。

從過往文獻看來,行動通訊科技帶來了彈性液態的社會特徵,更加允諾了人們隨心所欲的可能,但是看似自由解放的溝通互動環境,卻也意味著個體意志之間的競爭碰撞,在這樣的脈絡下,本研究從合宜性以及人際資本兩個概念著手,指出當代使用者在溝通過程中,勢必感受到溝通對象對於即時、彈性、保持聯繫……的期待與要求,基於維繫友好關係以及累積人脈資源……等種種考量,使用者會發展出相應的互動策略。

透過日記法以及訪談法的資料蒐集分析過程,本研究發現到在隨時隨地連線處境下,時間基準從絕對的,標準化的時間轉變為相對的,個人化的時間,此外,「當下的時間」比起「排定的時間」也變得更加重要,要在這樣的時間韻律下與他人維持良好與禮貌的交往互動關係,就需要更加複雜、精細以及客製化的時間調度策略,以便在隨時、隨地、隨興的連結環境中不斷進行評估取捨,甚至是對抗與拉扯,透過充滿動態競合的時間策略來維繫張持有度的當代使用者身影。
