dc.description.abstract (摘要) | Hotelling (1929)首先提出廠商在空間競爭及區位選擇之模型,其結論為,此 兩各廠商之區位會向中間點集中,而得到差異極小化之原則。但許多研究指出, 在 Hotelling 的模型架構下,廠商會保持一定距離,因而排除廠商聚集的可能 (d`Aspremont, Gabszewicz, and Thisse, 1979)。此外,若運輸成本為距離的二次函 數時,兩家廠商的位置不僅不會靠近,反而會盡可能的遠離,而的到差異最大化 之結果 (Prescott and Visscher, 1977; Neven, 1985; Economides, 1986; Anderson and Goerre, 1997)。上述之空間競爭模型中,消費者之分佈均假設為已知(且大多為 均勻分佈),此假設在探討廠商間之差異時是合理的,但探討空間模型時,家計 單位(即消費者)亦會隨著廠商之區位變動而調整,因此家計單位之分布為已知 之假設並不合理,因此考慮空間競爭模型時,應將土地市場納入考量。因此 Fujita and Thisse (1986)提出在空間價格競爭模型中,納入土地市場,即家計單位同時消 費廠商產品及土地,因此廠商區位及家計單位之區位將相互影響,且不同區位 下,家計單位消費之產品數量亦不相同;在此模型之假設下,均衡區位分佈受都 市內是否有空地及運輸成本高低之影響,此結論與過去之研究均不相同,但與現 實世界更為接近。因此本研究將以 Anderson and Neven (1991)及 Fujita and Thisse (1987)之模型為基礎,探討在考量土地市場下之空間數量競爭之一般均衡模型, 以探討在不同條件下廠商、家計單位之區位,以及地租曲線之分佈。 | - |
dc.description.abstract (摘要) | Most theoretical model of spatial competition with Bertrand competition models show a strong tendency toward spatial dispersion of firms, yet with Cournot competition models suggest that firms tend to agglomeration. In this paper we combine the Fujita and Thisse (1986) and Anderson and Neven (1991) model to introduce into the standard spatial competition with Cournot competition model and the consumption of land by households, and study the spatial competition under the influence of land market. In contrast to the standard assumption of a fixed, given distribution of households, we introduce the possibility of households` relocation in reaction to firms` locations. Thus, the spatial distribution of households in endogenous, and a land market is introduced on which households compete for land-use. Households consume simultaneously land and firms` output. To study the location of firms, households and the land rent distribution. | - |
