摘要 This study examines the role of decentralized financial systems in the current and future geopolitical, social, and economic context, specifically privacy-based cryptocurrencies. It underscores the importance of blockchain technology in offering financial alternatives and safeguarding individual rights within the evolving global landscape. Within this framework, Monero emerges as a favourable investment option, considering both financial gains and the protection of democratic values. Leading this to the idea of a new reward for personal investing: protection of investors’ individual rights. By analyzing various factors, it is concluded that, while Bitcoin can be seen as a useful public finance instrument, privacy-based tokens, in particular Monero, present a promising private investment opportunity. Monero`s emphasis on privacy and established technology aligns well with the future growing demand for confidential transactions. As individuals increasingly seek ways to protect their privacy in an increasingly surveilled world, the potential for privacy-oriented tools is expected to expand.
