摘要 本研究以壓力與休閒來探討家務勞動，由於壓力感受與休閒的認知都是主觀的一面，而質化研究可以不受過去解釋的影響，所關注的層面為主觀經驗與事實呈現，因此遂採質化研究之深度訪談法收集資料，並採立意取樣以滾雪球方式依年齡分布選擇了各年齡層的八位婦女進行本研究，茲將重點歸結如后：（1）最感到有壓力的工作是照顧工作，而且很容易造成生活中的忙碌感，因為照顧工作充滿不確定性、難以預料，並且需要投入相當多的情感與心力，過程中會伴隨著更多的家務工作。（2）因為家務工作具有重複性及繁瑣性的特質，易使人感到枯燥、乏味，而從事有酬工作的職業婦女因為白天從事的工作性質與家務工作差異較大，所以對家務工作的枯燥、乏味感受較不強烈。（3）從事家務勞動是伴隨休閒的，因為可自由支配的個人時間相當有限。（4）受訪對象所認知的休閒其實比較接近是休息，是工作之餘的休息，更誇張的說法是忙裡偷閒，動機仍是為了下一個工作。（5）休閒應該是另一種自我實現的滿足，在照顧責任未能鬆綁前，空閒時間都是依附於家務工作，惟有減輕照顧責任其休閒才能擺脫家務勞動，自由的選擇個人意願的無義務性活動，讓回到家中的家庭時間與休閒活動有獨立的價值。
