| dc.description.abstract (摘要) | The study examines new trends of higher education reform in China, with an emphasis on the recent university merging cases. By the year of 2000, there are more than sixty higher education institutes undergoing consolidation or merging process. The rationale and consequence behind this drastic reform in higher education requires further investigation. It is hoped that the Chinese university merging lesson will shed light on the higher education and the policy perspective. | - |
